Project Overview
Finavera owns a grid connection in Gate 3, Ireland’s transmission grid application process, for 105 megawatts.  The Company is currently negotiating the land access agreement with Coillte Teoranta (the Irish Forestry Board) which owns the land.  In August 2009 the Company signed a Heads of Terms agreement with a major European wind developer for the potential creation of a joint venture for developing the project, in which the Company would sell a portion of its interest in the project.  The agreement is subject to final contracts and approvals.  Negotiations continue to date of this report.  Ireland’s Renewable Energy Feed-In Tariff (REFIT) provides a fixed power purchase price to a licensed supplier of power for the purchase of electricity from a qualifying renewable energy generator.  It is envisioned that the Company’s wind project would qualify for the REFIT when operational.
